6-9 year old
Guest Young Authors and Illustrators Contest Franklin Mason Press is dedicated to providing children with a more active role in the books they read. For that reason, every children's picture book reserves two pages for children to have their work published. We invite children ages 6-9 years old, to send their stories or illustrations to our Youth Submissions editor and if they are selected 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place, their work is published in one of our upcoming picture books. In addition, winners receive $25.00, $15.00, or $10.00, a book, an award, and a party where they get to autograph books.

To date 27 children have had their work published and we continue to accept submissions.

9-12 year old
Guest Young Authors Contest Because of the enormous popularity of our 6-9 year old Guest Young Illustrator Contest, the editors of Franklin Mason Press is extending the writing aspect of the contest to children ages 9-12 years old. The first, second, and third place winners will have their work published in one of our upcoming chapter books. In addition, winners receive $ 50.00, $40.00, and $30.00, a book, an award, and a party where they get to autograph books.
